Harry Potter fans all over the world were waiting with bated breath for Hogwarts Legacy to come out, so they could experience their very own Harry Potter World fantasy!

With the promises of being able to learn new magic spells, make your own potions, rescue and take care of magical creatures, while also being able to fly around the world on a broom – which Harry Potter fan could resist this game? I sure couldn't!

Since not everyone necessarily has a gaming PC, a PlayStation or an Xbox, many Harry Potter fans were waiting for the game to be released for the Nintendo Switch, as was announced at an earlier point in time.

It was clear from the get go that Hogwarts Legacy would be released later on for the Nintendo Switch, than for other consoles, but I don't think most people thought that it would take this long...

After what feels like eons since Hogwarts Legacy was first released for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X and S, the game is finally coming out on the Nintendo Switch! Originally, Hogwarts Legacy supposed to be released for the Nintendo Switch in July 2023, but that obviously wasn't the case.

The official Hogwarts Legacy Twitter account announced that the release date for the Nintendo Switch would be pushed back until November 14, 2023, which is currently the official release date.

Hogwarts Legacy for the Nintendo Switch is already available for preorder, so if you want to grab a copy of the game, now's your chance! But, before you preorder the game, you might want to check out some gameplay images, that were revealed by Nintendo, first.

With the release of Hogwarts Legacy for the Nintendo Switch coming up, there are finally images of the gameplay that were uploaded onto the Hogwarts Legacy Nintendo page.

Honestly, I can't say that the graphics look bad, but they're obviously not up to par with the quality of the PS5 or a good gaming PC. Here are some comparison images between the PS5 and the Nintendo Switch graphics:

The shadows look quite a bit harsher, and obviously there's quite a noticeable difference in quality between the two consoles. Of course, this doesn't mean that the game looks bad. If you don't mind the difference in quality, then perhaps you'll give it a chance!

One question still remains unanswered, though, and that is whether Hogwarts Legacy will actually run smoothly on the Nintendo Switch.

Since Hogwarts Legacy runs at either 60 fps with its higher quality settings, or it targets 30 fps in its Fidelity mode, it seems as though the Nintendo Switch shouldn't have problems in that regard.

The fact that Avalanche Games have pushed back the release date for the Switch does spark hope that the game will be fully fleshed out for the Nintendo Switch. Fans were pretty happy with the quality of Hogwarts Legacy for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, so it seems likely that they'll do the same good job with the Nintendo Switch version as well.

It's obvious that the Nintendo Switch can't provide the same quality experience that newer gen consoles do, but from the previous work the Avalanche Games has done, we can hope that the Nintendo Switch will provide a nice gaming experience as well!
