Fans have been clamoring for a PC version of the hit game and yes, we can very likely expect a port. But when? And what have we heard about it?

To be clear, there hasn't been any official confirmation yet, but some leaks and rumors have fired up speculation surrounding the re-release of the PS-exclusive, including some reliable reveals. Let's check out the details.

What Makes A Ghost of Tsushima PC Port So Likely To Happen

Ghost of Tsushima will most likely be making its way to PC. Why are we so confident about that, you might ask? Well, a number of Sony-exclusive games have already found their way to PC: Days Gone, Horizon: Zero Dawn and God of War chief among them, and The Last of Us for PC is the latest addition in this illustrious round. But not only that.

Most of the mentioned franchises are definitely bigger than the Ghost of Tsushima one (The Last of Us even got its own TV series), and still Sony decided to give up the PlayStation exclusiveness after a certain amount of time. It would be surprising to give up the exclusiveness of a The Last of Us that has such a high radiance and attraction by name, but denying a Ghost of Tsushima PC port to keep the franchise exclusive (you would either expect it the other way around).

Furthermore, there have been multiple revealing hints. The major one came from the infamous Nvidia leak in 2021, which revealed info on tons of unreleased or unannounced games. A PC port for Ghost of Tsushima was included in the leak as well.

The reveal has gained a lot of credibility, since reveals from the list keep coming true. This means that the mentioned PC version for Ghost of Tsushima is very likely also happening.

There was another hint for this version being in development. This detail originally helped us find out about the PC ports for Horizon Zero Dawn and Days Gone: The PlayStation only label was removed from the boxart on Amazon .

PlayStation Direct now features the new Ghost of Tsushima boxart without the 'Only on PlayStation' banner. Yes, it is that simple. Horizon Zero Dawn and Days Gone are both on PC and, really, this is no surprise as we knew from the start that a lot of PlayStation exclusives are PC-bound.

If you missed when Sony stated its intentions on bringing more PlayStation exclusives to the PC, here's what Sony had to say on this a while back:

Particularly from the latter half of the PS4 cycle our studios made some wonderful, great games. There’s an opportunity to expose those great games to a wider audience and recognise the economics of game development, which are not always straightforward.

Ghost of Tsushima PC Port: Release Date Expectation

A Ghost of Tsushima PC port still seems pretty likely. Unfortunately, we didn't see any leaks or rumors on a potential release date. Days Gone got its PC port about two years after the PlayStation debut, Horizon Zero Dawn and God of War were released on computers about three and a half years after premiering on the PS4.

Ghost of Tsushima is out for three years now, so come on Sony, the time has come! We expect a Ghost of Tsushima PC version to be announced in early 2024 and to be released in mid/late 2024.
