Along with the highly-anticipated Cyberpunk 2077 expansion, Phantom Liberty, there's growing excitement around the forthcoming Patch 2.0. The developers are vowing to deliver revolutionary improvements that will redefine the entire Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay experience.
Even if you aren't planing on getting the expansion, you will get a big free update for Cyberpunk 2077 with a lot of different core experience changes. So, everyone should celebrate!

Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 2.0: Release Time
With the latest showcase from Night City Wire, CD Project Red officially announced the release date from Update 2.0! The free update will launch on September 21, only five days before the Phantom Liberty expansion.
The Cyberpunk 2.0 update will drop at 8 am PT (11 am ET / 4pm BST). Make sure to update your GPU drivers and uninstall or disable any mods!

Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 2.0 Changes: All Confirmed Free Features
These are all confirmed free features from Patch 2.0, you'll get these even without purchasing the upcoming DLC "Phantom Liberty":
- Overhaul from the Skill System;
- New Weapon and Loot System;
- Revamping of the Cop System;
- Overhaul from MaxTac;
- Vehicle-to-Vehicle combat;
- More open world activities;
- A new and updated combat system;
- New Skill Tree;
- Redesigned Perks;
- New Items, Weapons, Cyberware and Fashion;
- New radio stations with the community radio show "Growl FM" included;
- Combat AI improvements;
- Users who implant too much cyberware can suffer from a condition called cyberpsychosis.
Cyberpsychosis got first introduced in the anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunner. Possible side effects from cyberware are depression, apathy, hallucinations and sudden increases in addictive behaviors, such as gambling and more.
By adding this to the game, more players will now be wary of using cyberwares, but it will add a nice element of jeopardy. Personally, I think this is one of the best changes in the whole game. You have to carefully pick cyberware that matches your playstyle and remember that it might have big side effects. If they implement this as good as in the anime, then things going to be interesting and marvelous at the same time!
With Patch 2.0, CD Project RED delivers a complete overhaul of the world and the mechanics in the game. If you're one of those players that devoured the whole game in the first weeks after the official release (at least I did it), you'll have much to discover with the upcoming update.
