Fortnite Winterfest 2023 starts in December, as it does every year, and once again has many exciting things in store for us. Here is what to expect in Winterfest 2023!
Fortnite has been hosting a winter event every year in the run-up to Christmas, with challenges, free rewards like Christmas skins, and more! And even though it's still a short way away, we have a preview for you so you already.
Fortnite Winterfest 2023: Probable Launch Date
Fortnite Winterfest usually starts in mid-December, so this year we predict it will start between December 13 and 17, 2023. If it goes as usual, it will last until the beginning of January 2023. We can imagine that, like every year, there will also be a small New Year's Eve special event in Fortnite.
Winterfest Lodge and All The Free Winterfest Gifts
In recent years, the game added a cute little winter lodge and a bunch of free gifts! If you've been playing Fortnite for a few years, you know the drill. In the lobby, there is a button that takes us to another, different lobby. This one looks like the hut of Santa Claus himself.
A nicely decorated Christmas tree stands in the corner and there are presents everywhere. Every day there is one to open and you will not only get cosmetics like picks and gliders, but also free Fortnite skins!
While we can't 100% confirm that the Winter Hut will return this year again, we're assuming it will. At the very least, Epic will have some little surprise planned for us.
New Winter And Christmas Skins
There's already a bunch of Christmas skins in Fortnite. But that doesn't mean there can't be more. Dataminers are gradually leaking cool, festive skins that should be coming to Fortnite soon. You can find all the skins that have been leaked early here.
Winter Map Changes
Of course, our Fortnite island will be decorated for Christmas again! In addition, it is likely that the island will gradually be covered with snow to add to the Christmas spirit. However, it should be kept in mind that this will not necessarily be related to the Fortnite storyline. Once Fortnite Winterfest 2023 ends, most of the snow will likely disappear.
Frozen Items From The Vault
You can't miss a few Christmas-themed weapons and items, right? Like every year, Epic will be pulling a few winter-themed items out of the vault. The last 3 years, these were the following items:
- Snowball Launcher: Shoots exploding snowballs.
- Christmas Gifts: Throw them to get nice loot
We especially liked the Christmas gifts, as they always came with lots of golden loot and nice heal items. We hope for more again this year!
