The 2023 League of Legends World Championship is heading to South Korea this year and will take place between October 10 and November 19, 2023. The event will be the biggest esports event of the year with teams from all over the world coming together.

With the recent reveal that the 19th Asian Games will be played on an outdated patch, some fans have begun to wonder what Worlds 2023 is going to be played on. Spoiler: It isn't LoL Patch 13.12.

LoL Worlds 2023: Patch For Event Revealed

The biggest League of Legends event of the year is so close and with some key adjustments to champions like Tryndamere and Jarvan IV hitting the rift in Patch 13.18, it's shaping up to be quite a diverse meta. Other key pro picks like Xayah are also seeing nerfs, ensuring that there is a greater variety in the bot lane as well.

As long as we don't have to see another Nami and Lucian versus Zeri and Yuumi match up we're happy, right? Right.

LoL Patch 13.18 is the patch before we all get to experience the World Championship patch, which is going to be LoL Patch 13.19.

LoL Patch 13.19 is going to be released on Wednesday, September 27 about two weeks before the official start of the tournament, giving players and teams enough time to practice on the patch before they're heading into the World Championship.

With the Asian Games finals taking place on September 29, even players competing for their nations at the event in Hangzhou will have time to get accustomed to the patch before they have to play against the best League of Legends teams in the world in South Korea.
