LoL Worlds 2023 Play-In Group Draw: Date, Teams And Live Stream

The 2023 League of Legends World Championship, will kick off with a group draw, but when and where can you watch it?

The League of Legends World Championship, like in previous years will feature a play-in round. While some teams have already qualified for the main event, teams from the minor regions, as well as North America and EMEA will have to duke it out to see who will be part of the main event this year.

If you want to know who your favorite underdog team is going to be playing in the first part of the World Championship, then you'll need to watch the Play-In Group Draw show.

LoL Worlds 2023 Play-In Group Draw: When Will It Take Place?

The 2023 Play-In Group Draw show is going to be taking place on September 10, 2023. The event will take place right after the LEC 2023 Season Finals which are happening in Montpellier, France this year.

An exact time has not been revealed, since it will depend on how long the grand finals are going to be. They're supposed to kick off at 6 pm CEST on September 10, 2023 so it would probably be between 9pm CEST or 11pm CEST.

The live stream for the event is going to be the LEC stream, since the draw is happening after the LEC finals. You can choose to watch it on the official Twitch channel or the YouTube, or even on the lolesports website.

On the lol esports website you can choose which stream to watch in the client.

Qualified Teams For Worlds 2023 Play-In Stage

There are eight teams which can qualify for the 2023 League of Legends World Championship Play-In stage. Teams will be chosen from two different pots. First the four teams from Pot 1 will be picked and put into groups, followed by teams from Pot 2.

*Team BDS and Golden Guardians will play in the Worlds Qualifying Series ahead of the Play-In stage with the winner getting the final slot at Worlds 2023.

***CBLoL will be playing their finals on September 9, 2023, to determine whether paiN Gaming or LOUD will represent Brazil at Worlds 2023.

Two of the eight teams from the Play-In stage will be able to move onto the World Championship Main Event, which will feature a brand-new format with a Swiss stage, before moving onto the regular knockout rounds that we're used to from previous World Championships.
