Here are the latest patch notes for Warzone 2. We've condensed the patch notes to focus on major balancing changes, as we know you guys care a lot more about buffs and nerfs than you do about big fixes.
Warzone 2 has finally arrived. That means swimming, ledge-hanging, leaning out of car windows, and more. But despite all the fancy new upgrades provided by the IW9 engine, the fact remains: this is Warzone, and having the best weapon is what matters. And because this is Warzone, the "best weapon" changes every other week thanks to all the balancing patches.
In this article we'll regularly update you with the latest set of patch notes, focusing on weapon balance. You can also find info below on when to expect the next patch, and how big the current patch is. Let's get started.
Note: These are the Warzone 2 patch notes, they only apply to the BR. Here are the latest Modern Warfare 2 patch notes, if you're looking for standard multiplayer updates.
When Is Warzone Updated?
Warzone 2 will continue to receive weekly balancing patches on Wednesdays at 9am PT (12pm ET / 5Ppm BST / 6pm CEST), as was the case during MW2019, BOCW, and Vanguard. Although, smaller "hot patches" are deployed at any time in response to major bugs, and seasonal updates are only deployed every couple of months.
If the date and time of Warzone's weekly update changes then we will keep you informed.
Warzone Update (October 17) | Patch Size
This patch is about 25GB on all platforms. This update contains "The Haunting" event, and so there is quite a lot of actual content, not just balance changes and bug fixes.
Crazy to think the game isn't even bigger on hard drive in general, especially given how extensive the DMZ is.
