Valorant, while not as plagued by cheaters as some other FPS games, isn't entirely free from the cheating mischief-makers. Thankfully, it's uncommon to spot someone using aim-bots or wallhacks, maybe in one Valorant game out of a hundred. However, in a significant development, eleven individuals have been taken into custody in China after their main software bypassed Riot Vanguard. Here's everything we know.

Will Valorant Be Cheat-Free?

Considering how low the encounter rate with a cheater is, that rate might soon plummet to zero, since a leading Valorant AI cheat-making office was recently raided by the Chinese police. The initiative, as reported by Yujiang Public Security Online, began with an informant cluing them in about the software, leading to the raid.

Tencent played a crucial role in supporting this operation, leading to the apprehension of the responsible developers. They seized 17 computers that were used to bypass Valorant's defenses, along with their cell-phones that were used to communicate with each other. This is a huge step for the Chinese Valorant server, dubbed "Fearless Contract", as this will help uphold the competitive spirit for its players.

Cheat Developers Made Over $4 Million

Cheating tools in FPS games typically come with a price, with the undetectable ones sometimes costing more than $20 per month. Just recently, a whopping 40,000 Valorant accounts were banned due to cheat usage. It's believed that these bans are directly linked to this recent crackdown, as the profits and accounts banned are equal to the total figures.

The cheats weren't just downloadable, but also available as "plug-ins". For those that don't already know, "plug-ins" are essentially USB devices that, when connected, automatically deploy the cheat undetected. There were numerous incidents of both streamers and professional players being caught using these plug-ins. Although this raid is a step forward for the Valorant community, we'll probably here of more raids like this one in the future.
