The current patch in Valorant is 3.01, and it came out on July 7. This means that we're still a week away before the 3.02 update. Here's what you can expect from it.

Valorant patches come in a regular interval of two weeks. So far there was only one exception to that rule with patch 2.10 which got skipped entirely by Riot. The 3.02 update in Valorant is set to arrive on July 21, but we already have a wishlist of things we'd like to see. Most of them even make sense!

What To Expect From Valorant Patch 3.02

Valorant's Episode 3 started at the end of June, and patch 3.01 didn't bring a lot of changes. Riot washed their hands by saying:

Patch 3.0 was like an over-sized meal, where now we sit and let the food settle.

Hopefully, that food will be all settled two weeks after the first patch. That's why we're eager to see what Valorant 3.02 will have to offer. Without further ado, here are our predictions!

Yoru Buffs

Seriously, it's about time. The Valorant community has been talking about Yoru buffs for a few months now, but we have yet to see some. Yoru is quite literally scraping the bottom of the barrel in both pick and win rate. He certainly shines on certain maps and in some situations, but overall he's a lot worse than any other agent in his class. Will 3.02 be the patch to finally buff him? Perhaps Riot are not just trying to buff the Japanese agent, but rework him. Is that why it's taking so long?

KAY/O Nerfs

You just know that the KAY/O nerfs are already on the way. The newest agent in Valorant certainly shook the meta. His signature is like Sova's Recon Bolt but on steroids. Not only does it give you information on how many enemies were affected in the radius, but they're also suppressed. Furthermore, ZERO/POINT goes through walls, so there's literally no escape. If KAY/O's really getting nerfed, there's no doubt Riot will start with his signature ability.

A Replay System

It's something fans have been asking for since forever. Riot used to claim that Valorant will be the CS:GO killer and the next big esports title, but over a year later the game is still missing a replay system. Really Riot? Let's see if patch 3.02 finally delivers it.

Weapon Buffs / Economy Changes

The 3.00 update made some serious changes to the prices of numerous weapons in Valorant. All of these weapons were on the lower end of any tier list, and simply making them cheaper was probably not the best choice. We expect even more changes to some of the more forgotten weapons in Valorant, and perhaps even some further price tweaks.

A Commendation System

This one is quite easy to implement, but it can make all the difference. Toxicity in online games is not something uncommon, and having an in-game option to commend players for sportsmanlike behavior is something that should definitely be in Valorant – considering the heavy esports aspect of the title. This system already exists in League of Legends, so maybe Riot are already thinking about it.
