A teaser of the cinematic trailer of Chapter 4 Season 4 announces an unexpected twist for Chapter 5. Here's everything we know about it.
Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4 is scheduled to end on November 03, 2023, announcing not a new season, but Chapter 5! And as most of you know, in every final phase of a Fortnite chapter, the island is destroyed.
This will also happen in Chapter 4 and an ominous teaser in the Chapter 4 Season 4 Trailer gives a little hint...
Fortnite: Time Machine Could Bring Back Midas And Chapter 2
Those of you who have been paying attention may have noticed a small but very precious scene at the beginning of the Chapter 4 Season 4 Cinematic Trailer: Kado Thorne - the villain of this Season - gets out of a time machine that shows the date 25.03.2020. To do so, he holds the golden skull of Aurum in his hand.
What Happened On 25/03/2020 In Fortnite?
In fact, this date is exactly the day when the Aurum skin appeared within the "Midas Revenge" set in Fortnite. And the scar on his left eye proves that the golden skeleton is in fact Midas.
This is a clear indication that Kado Thorne returned to get Aurum's skull in Chapter 2 Season 2. And that in turn proves that the island from Chapter 2 still exists and has not been destroyed, as well as Midas.
But that is not the only clue. Apparently, Thorne has traveled to various Seasons to collect mythical trophies or weapons from everywhere that appeared in Season 4's loot pool.
Does this perhaps also mean that Thorne will bring Midas to the present? After all, Donald Mustard, Ex Chief Creative Officer at Epic also tweeted the following words some time ago:

But so far we have heard nothing further from him. However, maybe his time has finally come.
After all, Midas is one of Fortnite's most important and well-known characters, and the only one who almost managed to break the infinite loop. It was only thanks to him that Agent Jones stood up to the IO and joined The Foundation and The Seven.
And even though this is all pure speculation, all these little teasers could be converging into something big. Thanks to some insiders, we also know: what will happen at the end of Season 4 and the beginning of Chapter 5 is bigger than anything we've had in Fortnite so far. And we can be excited to see what will happen.
