The Owl House season 4 is one of the most requested sequels to a Disney show and when asked, creator Dana Terrace admitted that she is open to the idea of continuing the story, but needs a break at the moment.
Just like Gravity Falls, The Owl House might look like a kids' show, that can be enjoyed just as much by adults, who probably appreciate it even more. After three thrilling and exciting seasons The Owl House has come to a close, but fans are desperately asking for The Owl House season 4, and according to Dana Terrace, the show's creator, a continuation is not out of the question.
The Owl House centers around the self-assured teenager Luz who stumbles upon a portal to a magical realm where she befriends a rebellious witch, Eda, and a tiny warrior, King; despite not having magical abilities, Luz pursues her dream of becoming a witch by serving as Eda's apprentice.
The Owl House Season 4 Might Happen "In A Distant Future"
Despite another season of The Owl House being in high demand, Disney has made it clear that season 3 was going to be the last we get to see of Luz and friends.
For die-hard fans, this was a hard pill to swallow, especially since the creator of the show, Dana Terrace herself appears to be interested in continuing the story "in a distant future" as well.

Granted, this is no confirmation that we will ever get a season 4, especially since she explains that she simply doesn't want to rule out the possibility of a continuation, but hey, we'll take it.
Looking at how desperate fans are craving more The Owl House content, Disney might be persuaded to create a spin-off for the show. They might actually revive the show altogether if they think there's enough money to be made.
In a Reddit AMA, Terrace explained the apparent reason for the show being axed by Disney. She explains how because of Covid-19, budgets were constrained, but also claims that Disney used this as an excuse to get rid of the show.
They just wanted to be done with TOH and this was the perfect chance to do that
Her conclusion as to why the show didn't get renewed for another season was that the show didn't fit the brand because of its LGBTQ+ themes.
This is kind of a bummer, but might also open up the possibility of The Owl House returning for more seasons on a different streaming service. That's pure speculation, though, and not really likely (which sucks), but with a bit of luck and determination from some die-hard fans it might actually happen.
