LoL Patch 13.21 Will Bring A Much-Needed Jinx Nerf

Jinx has been a bit too strong after she got buffed in the most recent patch. But, Riot August has now revealed some major nerfs for LoL Patch 13.21.

Jinx received some interesting buffs in LoL Patch 13.20 that let her stack her passive attack speed. This led her to become one of the best champions in the current state of the game.

Through this small change she is able to gain huge amounts of attack speed that make it impossible to counter her since she will just delete her opponents off the map in the blink of an eye. But now, it was revealed that in LoL Patch 13.21 she will be receiving some nerfs.

LoL Patch 13.21: Jinx Attack Speed Stacking Capped

In a recent stream, Lead Champion Designer Riot August revealed that they will be putting a cap on the Jinx passive stack. It will go from infinity and beyond down to 5.

Due to the current state of Jinx's passive, her win rate has increased from 49.8% to a 52.10% and her play rate went from a mere 5% to 23%, making her one of the most popular champions in the bot lane. All this in the span of one patch is pretty insane.

Right now, Jinx is able to infinitely stack her attack speed and can go bonkers. Especially during the mid game she will pop off and then roll into an easy late game victory. So, now Riot is stepping in, because she's been going a little too insane on Summoner's Rift.

Riot August revealed that her passive stacks will now cap at 5. Also, attack speed will only stack on champion takedowns, though the first stack can still be obtained through towers or dragons.

This is going to take some power out of Jinx, but at the rate she was going, this looks to be a much-needed adjustment. Yes, it is a nerf, but Jinx won't be D-tier. She'll still be a good champion even in LoL Patch 13.21.
