One of the most popular skin lines in League of Legends will have a comeback in 2023! New Astronaut Skins are set to release pretty soon. With these additions, Riot will do justice to some champions that haven't received a new skin in ages!

Are they trying to win back the community's trust after the botched start of Season 13 and all the chaos surrounding the company after the recent cyber attacks? However it may be, it's always great to welcome back a beloved skin line and see Riot give some love to champions that deserve it.

Which LoL Champions Will Get Astronaut Skins?

As we've already mentioned, some of the champions that will receive a new Astronaut skin had a long dry spell without any new cosmetics for their collection. Let's have a look at the lucky few:

  • Singed
  • Fizz
  • Xerath
  • Ivern
  • Kennen

Think for yourself and guess how many years have gone by since Singed received his last skin... quite some time, right? It's been over two years or more than 800 days since "Resistance Singed" was released. Same goes for our buddy Ivern and also Kennen and Xerath. They too had do endure almost two years without any new cosmetics.

Only exception is Fizz. Well, sort of. He got his Fuzz Fizz Prestige Edition reworked when Riot rolled out the Mythic content overhaul, but is it really a new skin? We'll let you decide on that.

How Much Will The New Astronaut Skins Cost?

From what we can tell all of these skins will be Epic tier, so you'll have to pay 1350 RP. Although they all have wonderfully detailed animations and especially great backing animations, none of them seem to be special enough for the Legendary tier.

Most League skins these days will be Epic tier skins since Riot has gotten way more in-depth with the design of new skins. I mean, compare these Astronaut skins to the stuff they rolled out, say, ten years ago:

When Will The New Astronaut Skins Release?

We already know that we'll get Valentine's Day skins with LoL Patch 13.3. The upcoming Astronaut skins will most likely be included in the upcoming PBE Patch, which would point to a release with LoL Patch 13.4 on February 23, 2023.

So if you're really eager to get a first look on these new LoL skins, you can check them out on the LoL PBE server. All in all they seem to have been designed with great attention to detail and we're excited to accompany them on their way to the stars!
