At the New York Comic-Con Toei Animation revealed the newest extension of the Dragonball franchise called Daima.
Dragon Ball is just one of the franchises that will probably never die. Now, Toei Animation announced a new Dragon Ball anime called Daima at the New York Comic Con, that will bring back young Goku and fill some gaps within the franchise.
After years of waiting, Dragon Ball fans will finally be treated to another installment of the iconic Super Saiyan adventures of Son Goku and friends. This time, we won't get the insanely buff adult Goku we're used to, but will instead watch kid Goku kick some ass and eat some food.

Toei Animation Announces Dragon Ball: Daima At New York Comic-Con
Long gone are the times of kid Goku, or at least that's what we thought. Both in Dragon Ball Z and Super, we joined adult Goku on his quest to wrestle with Galaxy destroying opponents, all the while adding new evolutions to the iconic Super Saiyan transformation.
The newest power-up called Ultra Instinct was pretty epic, not gonna lie, but how would they even continue with getting bigger and badder enemies to fight? Well, back to the roots seems to be the answer, as Toei Animation announced at the New York Comic-Con that kid Goku will make his return in their next project, Dragon Ball: Daima.

So far, we don't know all that much about the new installment to the Dragon Ball franchise, but it's reportedly slated to release sometime next year and will apparently take place sometime before the end of Dragon Ball Z and will be canon. That's still pretty vague, though, but until they release further information, all we can do is guess.
