Another version of the AN-94 is back in CoD! In MW3 it's called the SVA 545, but it works in the same way as always: The first two shots fire almost simultaneously and then subsequent shots are fired at the gun's normal rate of fire. Here is our favorite loadout for the SVA 545.
Because the SVA 545 is such a low-damage weapon, and we have 150 base health now, the faster first two-shot gimmick simply doesn't do enough to make this weapon standout against other ARs. It's certainly still viable, and is in the B-tier for us in our tier-ranking of every gun in MW3, but we wouldn't put it higher.

The SVA 545 luckily has good handling and mobility for an AR, and the recoil is fairly manageable, so we don't need to use attachments to fix any obvious inherent flaw with the weapon. Instead, we can just give it some ease-of-use improvements like the optic and extended mags. Larger mags are very nice in this game, as the 150 base health can make it hard to get more than a double kill with normal mags.
We've also gone for a few improvements like the barrel and the rear grip that give us improved handling but only cost recoil control. The SVA 545 is more than controllable enough for a flex-style AR, so that recoil penalty is fine.

We don't expect the SVA 545 to be meta during MW3's lifecycle unless they give it a serious buff while nerfing everything else. It can still be used and enjoyed, it's a full-auto AR in CoD, but we think it's worse than other Assault Rifles.
