Looking for the best MW3 Battle Rifle? Here is how we rank all the Battle Rifles in Modern Warfare 3 for multiplayer.
Modern Warfare 3 will include Battle Rifles as a class of weapon. Battle Rifles were first introduced to CoD last year, and they're basically assault rifles chambered in larger calibers. They are powerful and capable of full-auto fire, but generally have poor handling and mobility.
Battle Rifles made up a significant part of the Warzone meta last year, but less so in multiplayer. This is largely because they excel at long-range, and in multiplayer the vast majority of engagements take place at no more than 30 meters.
This year we have some solid options to choose from in the Battle Rifle category, and we can see many of you enjoying them, even in multiplayer. They're particularly good this year because the higher damage can really be felt in a game with 150 base health rather than 100.
You can find a complete ranking of all the MW3 Battle Rifles below.
Note: These are our thoughts so far on the Battle Rifles we've seen in MW3 beta, we will update this ranking when we have seen more of the Battle Rifles.
Ranking Every Battle Rifle In MW3
2. MTZ-762
With a slow rate-of-fire and terrible recoil, the MTZ-762 won't be many people's favorite, but it's not completely unusable with a full set of good attachments. It's like MW3's version of the Lachmann .762, and might one day enter the meta, but it will never be a mainstay.
This weapon does unlock quite a nice compensator that lots of weapons can use, and that's why most should probably still level it if they're grinding.
1. BAS-B
The default class called "The Demolitionist" includes a BAS-B, but the attachments used on it were broken in the beta and as a result it produced "ghost bullets". This is the name you'll hear for a bug where your bullets do zero damage. It's very annoying.
Luckily, we found that by using our own custom BAS-B and not the one in the default class we resolved the issue. Maybe we just found the right set of attachments, or maybe we just got lucky, but we were able to enjoy the BAS-B without "ghost bullets" and we loved it.
This feels like easily the best battle rifle available so far. The BAS-B is essentially a very high-damage AR, with low-recoil and decent handling, which is perfect for a game with a long TTK like MW3.
We can't recommend the BAS-B enough. I
f you're a natural AR player, at least give it a go.

That is how we personally rank the Battle Rifles, but what did you think? Are we "faded" or probably correct with this take?
Now we've had Nicki Minaj, is Cardi B next?
