Despite what you may have heard about Modern Warfare 3 this year, it is not "just DLC", and does in fact come with a full campaign. But how long is a "full campaign" in CoD? Here is the MW3 playtime.

Modern Warfare 3 Playtime
We don't yet have an official confirmation of the Modern Warfare 3 playtime. Based on the last two decades of CoD games, we would normally predict the campaign to take about 5–7 hours, but this year the campaign will be very different. Thanks to "Open Combat missions", we expect the campaign to take longer than usual, perhaps even a full 10 hours.
And, even more good news, the campaign will be available to play a week early for those who pre-order:
The full Campaign, of course, is available up to one week prior to the game’s official launch on November 10, and is available through Campaign Early Access, included in all digital pre-order editions of Modern Warfare III.
Of course, you're almost certainly going to be playing MW3 for multiplayer, but we love having something to do the week before release. If nothing else it introduces you to some of the new weapons and locations.
