Have you ever had a bit too much RP and wanted to just get a loot bundle or a hextech chest? Did you ever wonder just how likely it is to get some blue essence, a skin shard or an emote? Well, that’s what we’re going to talk about today.

If you got some extra cash this Christmas, enjoy gambling – even though you could be underage – check out these drop rates! League might not advertise themselves as a Gacha game, but these rates could make you feel like you’re about to get that five-star Zhongli!

How To Check League of Legends Drop Rates

Checking the drop rates for Hextech Chests, Masterwork Chests and Event Orbs can all be done before purchasing in the League of Legends store in the game client. Players are also able to check the drop rates for loot from event orbs as well.

How do you do this though? Well, follow these steps, and you’ll be able to check all the loot, skins, shards and blue essence drop rates for any bundle or chest of your liking in League of Legends.

  1. Log into your League of Legends Account
  2. Click on the ‘Store’ icon in the top right corner
  3. Click onto ‘Loot’ once you’re in the store
  4. Click on an item of your choice and a window pops up
  5. In the window click ‘View Drop Rates’ (Indicated in Blue)

This works on bundles as well, where players are able to see the drop rates of specific Hextech chests or masterwork chests they receive within the bundle.

What is Bad Luck Protection?

Bad Luck Protection is added to certain rewards. Basically, it’s like reaching pity in a Gacha Game. At one point the system will feel bad that all you’ve been getting is garbage, that after a certain number of items without a specific reward your next Hextech Chest will guarantee that reward on the next item.

Though unlike in Gacha Games, where the rate of pity is known, Riot Games does not specify how many chests one has to open to receive better rewards.
