Lukas Scherbaum is the FIFA Lead at EarlyGame. Since his first console – the Game Boy Advance SP combined with FIFA 04 – he has played all FIFA games from EA Sports, and quite extensively so.

The author grew up near Munich and studied sports journalism at Macromedia University after graduating from high school. During and after his bachelor's degree (completed in spring 2019), he gained his first experience as an intern at iM Football, a start-up app of the German TV channel Sport1, in 2017. He was then hired as a freelancer and was one of the main writers covering events such as the 2018 World Cup. After receiving his bachelor's degree in 2019, he joined Sport1's online editorial team, where he covered both national and international football. At the beginning of 2021, he wanted to return to the start-up atmosphere and entered the world of gaming journalism for the first time. Since then, he has been active at EarlyGame, where he pursues his passion for virtual football.

In addition to his duties as Head Coach of EA FC 24, he is also the Deputy Content Lead and temporarily supervises the entire editorial team. Whether as an author for the sports magazines kicker and Sport1, proofreader, graphic designer, reporter for the Virtual Bundesliga or even as a party planner: as a member of the Gullit Gang, he contributes to almost every part of the team.

The Weekend League often breaks him even more than his beloved team TSV 1860 Munich, which is now playing in the third division in Germany. At least he can bring the Lions back to their former glory in EA FC 24's career mode.
