Riot has promised us big map changes for the LoL Preseason 2024, and it seems like we're getting them. One of the biggest surprises is the lack of Baron pit, which some people have spotted.
Riot promised players huge changes for this LoL Preseason 2024. One thing that has been confirmed is the change to items and the removal of mythic items altogether. This will also mean some items are going to be removed from the game entirely, like Galeforce.
But that isn't the only change that players have been anticipating. Some adjustments to the jungle are also in order, and we're not talking about balance changes. No, this time Riot is breaking down walls and adding new ones for a whole new experience on the rift.
LoL Preseason 2024: Baron Pit And River Changes
A League of Legends artist released a video in which they showed off the Coven Ward Audio and design, but League of Legends players quickly realized that something was different about it... and that was the mid lane itself.
SkinSpotlights pointed out on Twitter that the top river looked wider than it currently is in the video. Not only that, but it looked like the mid lane was also closed off at the Wolves entrance, which could mean that players can only enter through river or Raptors.

Not only that, but there is a lot more space around the red tier 1 tower, almost like Riot moved the entrance there or added some form of alcove around it.
Also, in the bottom right corner a part of the mini map can be seen and many pointed out that it looks like the Baron pit has been completely removed, which has many speculating whether we're getting a Baron meadow in the upcoming season.
The video was quickly privated by the original poster, which could indicate that these are some key changes that Riot is working on and were accidentally revealed to the public.
Players have pointed out that the removal of the Baron pit walls also could just be a new dragon effect, but for now it's all just speculation whether it's going to be a permanent change or a change of the map due to the dragon.
The changes for the LoL Preseason 2024 will be added to PBE on November 20 for PBE Patch 13.24.
