Riot just revealed their next skins and we're going back to an old favorite – Coven. While the champion choices are solid, the choice for legendary did not go over well with the community.
Coven is a skin line that just doesn't seem to miss when it comes to design and story. These high-fashion inspired witches make a comeback every now and again with a new take and it always looks incredible.
\This year, ahead of the 2023 League of Legends World Championship, we're going to be getting quite a few new Coven skins, with Akali being chosen for a prestige version as well. But, while the skin line overall has received praise, there is one issue with it that fans are bringing up.
LoL: Coven Legendary Skin Makes Fans Unhappy
There are some pretty cool new skins coming to the Coven universe in 2023. We're going to be getting four new "witches" as well as a new Old God skin as well, only this time we're going under the sea and meeting the Sirens of this AU who are ready to bewitch gamers.
Riot revealed the new Coven trailer, introducing Nami, Akali, Syndra, Nilah and Elise as the new members of the Coven skin line. Throughout the trailer it's Nami voicing over it.
This skin line will be part of the 2023 League of Legends World Championship event, featuring an event prestige – Akali – as well as a new legendary skin. Now, with this skin line who would you think? Well, most people would have pegged Syndra as the perfect candidate, but unfortunately, this mid lane mage will not be the one getting the legendary.

Instead, it's going to be Nami which has quite a lot of people online upset. Nami is an enchanter and this would be another legendary for an enchanter. When was the last time mid lane mages got a legendary...? Well some Twitter users went back all the way to 2020 when Ahri got her Spirit Blossom legendary.
While Nami's skin will likely be amazing, fans still feel wronged that Syndra, who was the most perfect candidate for this skin line did not receive a legendary skin. At least she did get a Coven skin, that's something that's been long overdue.
