In Honkai Star Rail: Light Cones act as weapons for your characters and equipping them provides a bunch of stats to your units. Some of them are hidden behind quests or the gacha system, however our favorite member of the Genius Society is selling some useful Light Cones in her shop and she has a special offer for us!
Just as playable characters, Light Cones come in three different rarities, with 5-Star being the most valuable. Getting said 5-Star items, often requires you to spend precious Stellar Jades, which could have gone into your next character as well.
Luckily, Herta has some pretty useful alternatives in her shop! And the good news is, she will soon have a brand-new offer for us as well. So you better go and visit our little genius sooner than later!

Honkai Star Rail: New Kafka Light Cone In Herta's Shop Announced
We knew for quite some time, that there will be a new Light Cone in Herta's shop with the upcoming version 1.3! Finally, we can read its effect as well! And after doing so, I felt kind of sorry for players who pulled for Kafka's signature Light Cones, since Herta's new offer seems to be a perfect fit for our favorite Steallron Hunter!
The Light Cone's effect reads as followed:
- The owner's Break Effect increases by 20%, and the DoT DMG by 24% for 2 turns. When an enemy target with DoT effect applied by the owner dies, the owner recovers 4 energy. (S1)
The increased DoT damage does favor Kafka quite a lot since she is the first unit that actively plays around her DoT abilities. Even tho her very own Light Cone is still a little better, this completely free option is a strong contender, which you can even upgrade to Superimposition 5!
Honkai Star Rail: Herta's Light Cone Shop
Each and everyone who is playing Honkai Star Rail somewhat regularly, knows about Herta's Store. Within her shop, she is offering a total of three 5-Star Light Cones, a Superimposer and Star Rail Passes.
You can access her shop via the Simulated Universe. Head to the top left and choose “Herta's Store” However, you do not have to pay with your precious credits or even Stellar Jades.

Herta is way more interested in “Herta Bonds”,which is a currency you obtain by just playing through the Simulated Universe. Herta is giving them to you as reward since she is at least somewhat thankful, that she can use you as her new science project. Trade these Herta Bonds back to her and get these special 5-Star Light Cones!

Herta's Store Light Cones – Ranking
To be quite fair, the Light Cones Herta is selling to us, are not as good as “real” 5-Star weapons, however at least one of them is extremely strong, when comparing it to 4-Star Light Cones from the gacha system.
Cruising in the Stellar Sea
The “Cruising in the Stellar Sea” Light Cone is said weapon. If you play at least one The Hunt character, and are in need of a new Light Cone without spending a lot of money on it, try out the one Herta has in her store! It is a really powerful weapon, which provides CRIT rate to your character and has comparably high sub stats.
Texture of Memories
The next one you should at least consider buying is “Texture of Memories”. This Light Cone belongs to the patch of The Preservation and is an excellent choice for all characters, who profit off of Effect RES and a bunch of max HP.
On the Fall of an Aeon
Definitely the weakest one of those three is “On the Fall of an Aeon”. This Light Cones belongs to the path of The Destruction and is arguably the worst Herta's Store weapon. It is nor particularly bad, however, most 4-Star have better stats and effects than this weapon. I would recommend saving your Herta Bonds instead of getting this Light Cone.
Luckily, the new one is so much better than this!
In conclusion, even if some Herta Light Cones are maybe not the best option for many characters, they are certainly much easier to obtain than other 5-Star Light Cones and still provide really high base stats and good effects! The new one for Kafka however, is a huge recommendation for everyone, who doesn’t have her signature weapon already.
