Time flies by in Honkai Star Rail and the 1.3 banner is slowly but surely coming to an end. At least for now, we have to say goodbye to the Master Diviner Fu Xuan until she will be up in a rerun banner in the future. Luckily her replacement is no other than Jingliu herself! How will her banner look like?
When pulling for a new 5-Star character in Honkai Star Rail, there is a high chance to get at least a couple of copies of the featured 4-Stars as well! Especially for free to play accounts, looking at the lower tier units, is equally important as it is to choose the right 5-Star for your team's needs.
Since Jingliu, who is one of the community's favorites, is the next one to make her grand debut in version 1.4, many players will pull on said banner. You should definitely take a look at all the featured units before you start pulling!

Let's focus on the most essential thing first: Jingliu! She is most certainly the star of the upcoming version and many are planning on adding her to their team. (Which is totally understandable, since I am one of them.)
Did you know who Jingliu has stolen her voice from?
Her banner will be named “Gentle Eclipse of the Moon” and will feature next to Jingliu herself, three other 4-Star characters! Jingliu's banner will be up in the first half of version 1.4, starting on October 10.

The New 5-Star Jingliu
Jingliu is a 5-Star unit, who follows the path of The Destruction and deals Ice damage! We could already see her in several cutscenes and cinematics! One of the most memorable is probably “A Flash”, where she is seen fighting against her former protégé Jing Yuan. Another pretty cool thing, is that her kit is moon themed and her abilities look super awesome!

I wish I could be as badass as Jingliu as well.
Personality wise, Jingliu was always a really kind-hearted and a great teacher to Jing Yuan. However, once she was succumbed by an illness called “Mara”, her entire character started to change, which made her attack the people she loved the most. In the end, she was brought down by Jing Yuan himself.
Since she is a Destruction character, she will most certainly be played like Blade, with one interesting twist: You not only drain your own HP, but also take it from your entire team! If HP management and tanky units are your cup of tea, you should definitely go for Jingliu! She is a huge pulling recommendation, if you feel like she could fit in your team.
Excellent 4-Stars
Besides Jingliu, there will be three 4-Star character on the banner again, and it does look like a pretty good mix! Let's take a look at them as well:
Tingyun (4-Star)
Tingyun is one of the best, if not THE best, 4-Star offensive support units that exist at the moment. She is an excellent buffer, deals Lightning damage and belongs to the path of The Harmony. If you don’t have her E6 already, try to get some Eidolons for her. Tingyun just fits into every team comp and is always worth investing in! Even though she is struggling a little story wise …
Onto the next candidate!

Qingque (4-Star)
Qingque is a special one for me! Out of nowhere, she was sudden climbing up all tier lists you could ever imagine, even dealing more damage than some 5-Star units! In order to achieve a cracked Qingque like this, she HAS to be E6. If you like her play style, she could be your new carry! (Next to Jingliu, of course!) I really enjoyed playing her, and luckily picked her up in my first 10 pull! Ever since she is a staple in my team whenever I need Quantum damage. (Who needs Seele anyway …)
Last but most certainly not least: Sampo!
Sampo (4-Star)
In the very beginning of Honkai Star Rail, Sampo was often overlooked! However, after Kafka's banner released, many noticed how good he actually is, even without Kafka herself. I'm not having too much experience using Sampo, but he is capable of dealing solid amounts of damage, at least in my team.
In general, this banner looks super awesome and if you wanted Jingliu anyway, you will definitely have some amazing 4-Stars to play her with! Especially Tingyun will be a great buffer for her.
