Genshin Impact Fréminet: Who Is He For?
Genshin Impact's Fréminet is more or less a beginner or free-to-play friendly DPS. He is a bit complicated to learn at first, but some people might be into that. The main focus is on his normal attack and his E, and you can build him to be a very capable Physical DPS. Especially considering we don't have that many good Physical four-star Characters, he really is decent. Not overwhelmingly amazing, but pretty neat.

| Normal Attack | Deals up to 4 consecutive strikes. This will randomly unleash waves of Cryo DMG frost that increase his Pers Timers Pressure Level. Charged: Does a spinning motion, with a more powerful slash at the end. Plunging: Deals AoE Damage upon impact. |
Elemental Skill (E) | Generates a Pers Timer which infuses his Normal Attack with Cryo. If you unleash his Elemental Skill while another E is still active, you'll get a different attack. There are differen Pressure Levels to Pers Timer. Skill lasts for 10s.
You can use his Arkhe with his E only. Pers Timer Pressure Levels: Shattering Pressure Base: Vertical Cut that deals Cryo DMG. Level 1-3: Vertical Cut that deals Cryo and Physical DMG, scales higher based on your Pressure Level. The higher your Pressure, the more Cryo DMG decreases and Physical DMG increases. Level 4: Pers' Pressure Timer gets reset to Base level, and deals Physical DMG. His Normal Attack will be replaced by Shattering Pressure. |

Genshin Impact Fréminet: Best Build
Depending on if you want to utilize his Cryo or Physical Damage side more, there are different options. I would recommend a mixture of both, but leaning on the Physical side, since most of his damage is clean. So his best artifact set is the Pale Flame set, with Blizzard Strayer right after. Try to get a Physical DMG or Cryo DMG bonus on his Goblet and ATK% on his Sands, then just Crit rate/ Crit Damage on the Circlet.
Genshin uses the Royal Greatsword in his Trial, which has an ATK substat and increases Crit Rate by 8% when you hit an enemy with max 5 stacks. This is just a safe-bet option.
Since there is such a huge emphasis on his Normal Attack to fill up Pers Timer, I'd also recommend the Prototype Archaic, which you can craft yourself. It also has an ATK substat and has a chance of 50% to increase Normal and Charged Attack DMG by 240% once every 15s.
Another great option that's craftable is the Snow-Tombed Starsilver, you can get its Weapon Blueprint in Dragon spine. It has a Physical DMG substat and has a 60% chance of spawing an Icicle over an enemy's head after using his Normal or Charged Attack, which deals 80% Attack DMG, if the enemy is affected by Cryo it's a whopping 200% Attack DMG! Can only occur every 10s.
And of course, if you are really invested, you can just slap Eula's signature weapon in him, since he is really similar to her. The Song of Broken Pines gives you a Physical Damage bonus and stacks when you use Normal and Charged Attack. These stacks called "Sigil of Whispers" will collect until you have 4 of them, you will then get a Normal ATK SPD and ATK increase for the entire party for 12s. After that, the effect has a 20s Cooldown.
Genshin Impact Fréminet: Team Comps
I would definitely recommend at least one Hydro character with him, even if you want to build him as a Physical DPS, just because you can make use of his Passive that way. If you add another Cryo character, then you don't have to worry about his flimsy application and get consistent Cryo on the field. You also get a Crit Rate buff and are more resistent to Electro characters.

The bosses you'll need for Fréminet are Icewind Suite – Coppelius and Guardian of Apep's Oasis. You also need to beat Clockwork Meka and collect Romaritime Flowers underwater.
