Fortnite FNCS Major 3: Format, Prize Pool & Schedule

Take part in Fortnite Battle Royale's most prestigious tournament as it resumes in Season 3 of Chapter 4, and we've got all the information you need to get ready for the event.

FNCS is back again in 2023 and it's bigger than ever! Called the Fortnite Champion Series Global Championship, the best duos from around the world will once again have the chance to compete for a share of prize money totalling $10,000,000!

But before the FNCS ends with the Global Championship at the end of this year, the duos have to prove themselves in the so-called Majors to secure a spot for the finals.

And with Major 3 coming up, here's everything you need to know about it for you.

Fortnite FNCS Major 3: Schedule & Format

FNCS Major 2 kicks off on Thursday 20 July 2023 and concludes on 13 August 2023 with the Grand Finals. Here you can find the exact schedule:

  • Week 1: 20 to 23 July (3 rounds)
  • Week 2: 27 to 30 July (3 rounds)
  • Week 3: 3 to 6 August (3 rounds)
  • Grand Finals: 11 to 13 August (3 days of competition)
  • Last Chance Major: 18 to 20 August

In each "Weekly Cup" competition section of FNCS Major 2, the 200 duos with the most points from Round 1 will advance to Round 2 of that week. After the end of the Round 2 competition section, the 50 duos with the most points from each region will advance to the FNCS Major 3 weekly finals.

Grand Finals

The FNCS Major 3 Grand Finals will then take place over three days of competition, with six matches played on each day, making a total of twelve.

The duos with the highest total points on the respective leaderboards of the FNCS Major 2 Grand Finals will win a share of the prize money of $2,001,200. The top duos from each region will qualify for the 2023 FNCS Global Championship.

FNCS Major 3 Qualifying Seats Global Championship

A total of 30 teams worldwide will qualify for the upper branch of the 2023 FNCS Global Championship in the FNCS Major 3. These are divided into regions as follows:

  • Europe: 10 qualifying duos
  • North America: 10 qualifying duos
  • Brazil: 3 qualifying duos
  • Oceania: 2 qualifying duos
  • Middle East: 2 qualifying duos
  • Asia: 3 qualifying duos

FNCS Last Chance Major for Global Championship

In the Last Chance Major, 25 duos still have the chance to secure a place for the FNCS Global Championship 2023.

  • Europe: 9 qualifying duos
  • North America: 8 qualifying duos
  • Brazil: 3 qualifying duos
  • Oceania: 1 qualifying duo
  • Middle East: 1 qualifying duo
  • Asia: 3 qualifying duos

FNCS Major 3 Participation

To participate in Major 3, you and your mate must have reached the Platinium Division of Chapter 4 Season 3 in Ranked. You must also be at least 13 years old and have two-factor authentication enabled for your Epic Games account.

If you meet these points, you'll need to stand together in the lobby at the start of the tournament, select FNCS Major 3 in the Fortnite competition tab and join the
queue once the tournament starts.
