The FIFA Women's World Cup 2023 is approaching and will take place from July 20 to August 20 in Australia and New Zealand. The host countries will kick-off the tournament, with the opening matches between New Zealand and Norway, as well as Australia and Ireland.

And in FIFA 23, we will be part of the action too. The DLC will be available for free to all players who already own FIFA 23. If you have the Game Pass, you can already access FIFA (although with limitations), and there are rumors that FIFA 23 will also be included in PS Plus.

Before we fully immerse ourselves in the excitement of the FIFA successor, we will provide you with all the information about the Women's World Cup in FIFA 23.

FIFA 23: Women's World Cup As Free Download Content

As we reported back in late March, EA has further strengthened its commitment to women's football this year. For example, the UEFA Women's Champions League made its debut in the FIFA series for the first time in history.

The free additional content has been released a full 23 days before the start of the Women's World Cup. Those who have downloaded and installed the latest FIFA patch can now play the World Cup themselves.

There's a lot in store for us, although FUT misses out – for now.

Women's World Cup In FIFA 23: New Modes Await

All national teams have their original squads and kits – a true novelty to end the FIFA series, with 32 women's teams featured in their original form in the game. In addition to new stadiums, there are also three modes you can start as a player: Kick-Off, Tournament, and Lead Your Country (Be a Pro).

Kick-Off Mode

The FIFA Women's World Cup Kick-Off mode offers you the opportunity to compete against your friends or the CPU. You can decide at which stage of the tournament the match should take place, from the group stage to the knockout rounds and the final, giving you the freedom to choose.

Although EA has heavily relied on the animations and cutscenes from the Men's World Cup, the new Women's World Cup has been authentically integrated into the game! The original faces and kits make a difference.

Tournament Mode

In the Tournament mode, you have the opportunity to accompany a nation throughout their entire journey in the FIFA Women's World Cup, starting from the group stage all the way to the grand final. Join forces with a friend and celebrate your successes together.

Lead Your Country: Solo Mode

With "Lead Your Country", you can either select an existing star player or create your own avatar and rise to great fame. This mode is similar to Pro Clubs or the previous "Be a Pro" mode.

When creating your player, you can let your creativity run wild. Customize numerous details to express your unique style and personality. Finally, choose your favorite position and equip your Pro with the appropriate attributes and traits.

During the game, you can still take control of the entire team if your teammates are not performing as you would like.

No Women's World Cup Mode In FUT

We got bad news to all FIFA enthusiasts who are solely focused on Ultimate Team: there won't be a special card promotion in FIFA 23. However, recent developments suggest exciting news for the FIFA successor.

With the inclusion of women's clubs, the Champions League, and a new women's league in EA Sports FC, we can reportedly look forward to the addition of women in FUT. We have summarized the key leaks for you:

Perhaps we can at least look forward to some national team SBCs for the Women's World Cup. Otherwise, we advise you to grab some friends and write your own story with the new World Cup mode.

Fortunately, in 2024, the Men's European Championship will take place, and we are confidently expecting a EURO Mode that will be integrated into all modes.
