F1 23 Players Are Awaiting Further Bugfixes As Community Leagues Are Set To Start

Our hopes and prayers have been heard: F1 23 has delivered a much better gameplay experience than its predecessor. Community leagues are looking at their newest campaigns with some newfound optimism. However, the ultimate sim-racing dream has not yet reached perfection, as the game is still plagued by a few issues that require further attention.

F1 23 has opened its gates to the sim-racing world on June 16. This did not draw the end of Codemasters' efforts surrounding the game though, as further content is still set to be released at a later date. Two new features that players can be excited for are the Formula 2 2023 season and the new layout of Singapore's Marina Bay Circuit, which makes its debut in the real-world Formula 1 in September.

These Issues Are Yet To Be Fixed

Players seem to enjoy the newest entry of Codemasters' sim-racing franchise. After F1 22 turned out to be rather disappointing, the community is glad to see the new game deliver on their expectations. This is rewarded by players all around the world, as F1 23 received 87% positive reviews on Steam since its release.

Another good sign for the players of F1 23 is that Codemasters are actively tackling the last remaining issues the game has. Players are now hoping that this leads to a smooth experience with the game, as community leagues are set to start their first season on the new title.

In the previous patch released on June 28th, issues with the game's frame rate during night races have been tackled. Also, cars that line up as part of the eleventh team on the grid no longer lose their front wings as they exit the garage in Monaco's infamously tight pit lane.

Further issues still need Codemasters' attention, though, as loss of force feedback is still giving steering wheel users a headache. Fixing the issue that causes the safety car to be deployed right after a red flag restart in a 50% race will be appreciated by all community league participants, as most of them traditionally prefer to race at half distance. At least red flags will no longer mess up your finishing order, as this issue has been fixed in the most recent update.

Another patch resolving some pressing issues is expected to hit the live servers next week, although the exact change list is yet to be released.

What The Game Does Right

F1 23 looks absolutely stunning, but that is not the only thing the game does right. Players on the F1Game Subreddit have also found some tracks to feel better to race on. User Just_an_Empath points this out in a thread comparing racetracks from the new game and its predecessor, specifically hinting at the infamous turn 4 at the Autódromo International do Algarve in Portimão, Portugal:

Portimao seems like that uphill turn is not as slippery as before.

But the trust is already broken.
