EA FC 24: New Leak Shows Messi And Ronaldo Ratings

Currently, more and more news about EA FC 24 are coming out – including the ratings for the best men and women in the new FIFA 24. The two greatest footballers of all time, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, are still counted among the football superstars despite their advanced age.

However, age traditionally prompts EA Sports to adjust the player ratings downward. In the case of Messi and Ronaldo, it's a significant downgrade for both of them, and we can hardly recognize one of them anymore 🥲

According to the leaks from Fut Scoreboard, whom we consider a reliable source as they are the go-to supplier for FUTSheriff – the Fabrizio Romano of FIFA leaks – both Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo will receive a downgrade for EA FC 24.

While Lionel Messi became a world champion last year and currently tears apart every opponent with Inter Miami, CR7 in Saudi Arabia with Al-Nassr is increasingly being forgotten, even though the Saudi Pro League will be quite overpowered in EA FC 24.

EA FC 24 Ratings: Cristiano Ronaldo Gets Heaviest Downgrade Ever

Cristiano Ronaldo will have an 86 rating in EA FC 24. This reduces his OVR by -4 compared to FIFA 23. That really hurts. Although initially we saw him more as an 88 or 87, we find this downgrade fair – 86 OVR fits his current performance.

And considering his age, his performance is still remarkable. His pace and dribbling are suffering the most, he's simply not as agile as he was three years ago.

EA FC 24 Ratings: Messi Also Receives OVR Downgrade

Lionel Messi is not exempt from the downgrades in EA FC 24. However, Messi only loses one rating point compared to FIFA 23, he now has a 90 OVR.

That is still outstanding and well-deserved when you look at his performances with Inter Miami. Messi's disadvantage is the MLS; it will be challenging to link the Argentine in Ultimate Team. His teammates – except for Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets – simply aren't good enough for UT.
