Fortnite goes Need for Speed! Okay, that might be a bit of an exaggeration, but according to the latest leaks, Fortnite will get its own car racing mode in chapter 5, and with more content than you might expect.

Although Fortnite's Battle Royale mode was released after Save the World, it was significantly more successful and popular than its predecessor. And now with Creative 2.0, there are even a lot more options out there for players! Some have already created car races in Fortnite, but what Epic Games is about to release might be beyond the scope.

Competitive Racing Mode With Customizable Vehicles To Come To Fortnite

This news comes from leaker Krowe moh.

The new auto-racing mode, codenamed "DelMar," is expected to be listed as both a competitive and casual playlist, with player rankings split into 18 division levels. It is not yet known how the new ranking system will work, but it is said that there "could be a leaderboard."

The mode is also said to feature a garage with vehicle customization that can be accessed directly from Fortnite's main lobby. In addition, there will be a separate Battle Pass for the mode.

As for the racetracks, there will be sky and ground racetracks equipped with "speed objects". And the default car is probably a new supercar.

So far, the following modis have been leaked:

  • Death Race
  • Easy Rider
  • Casual
  • Competitive

Among them 12 casual mode maps, 4 ranked mode maps and one map called "Whiplash Circuit".

Release Date For The Car Racing Mode In Fortnite

So far, we don't have an official release date for the car racing mode in Fortnite. However, since it is currently being tested on the servers of Chapter 5 Season 1, we assume that the new mode will also be added to the game with the new chapter, i.e. at the end of 2023. As soon as more details come to light, we will of course update the article for you.
