Epic Games has confirmed that there will be one more season before Fortnite Chapter 5, which will be released in early December. So what can they fill up such a short season with?
Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4 was for us personally one of the best Fortnite seasons in a long time, but all good things must come to an end. We already know that Season 4 will end on November 3, 2023, and for a long time there were rumors that a new chapter with a new map would be released afterwards.
But now Epic has given a hint that it will play out quite differently than we thought...
Fortnite Season 5 Will Be The Shortest Season Ever
Epic has confirmed another Season ahead of Chapter 5, but for some reason hasn't called it "Season 5". This could of course be meaningless wording, but we know that Epic doesn't do anything without reason.
"We remain focused on delivering our mission-critical initiatives: the next Fortnite Season and Chapter 5 ... Their schedules remain in place."
Fortnite Season 4 ends on November 3, and we know from past leaks that Chapter 5 will definitely launch in early December. This in turn means that Season 5, or whatever Epic will call the new season, won't last longer than a month. This will make the next Season the shortest Fortnite has ever had!
Whether the next Season will then just be a gap filler, introduce the new chapter story-wise, or feature new content like the leaked Author Mode or Lego Crossover, we don't know yet.
