Baldur's Gate 3 has immediately made a huge impact on the gaming scene. Two weeks after its release, the game has impressed players around the world, which is repaid by the Steam community with a staggering 94% positive reviews. Other sources even claim that it is the Game of the Year 2023!

No matter who you ask, Baldur's Gate 3 has been a massive success. However, the game is far from perfect yet, and developers Larian Studios are looking to change that.

Shortly after its release, Baldur's Gate 3 has already seen three hotfixes. This is not atypical, as usually AAA games receive huge day 1 patches right after their official release. The Baldur's Gate 3 players do not seem to mind this too much, and their valuable feedback is one reason for the upcoming updates.

Larian Studios founder and CEO Swen Vincke has now taken to X (or Twitter, whatever you want to call it) to talk about upcoming updates to Baldur's Gate 3. In his post, he declares that fixing player-reported issues is the highest priority at the moment and that there is already a huge patch along another hotfix in the pipeline. He claims that the upcoming patch fixes over 1000 individual issues!

In the future, we also expect to hear more about the possibility of a DLC to Baldur's Gate 3. If we are lucky, Larian Studios treat us to some extra content for the game, although Vincke states that the studio has not begun working on an expansion yet.

However, it does not seem like the possibility is ruled out entirely. In an interview with PC Gamer, Vincke explained why an expansion based on additional levels 12 to 20 would be difficult to execute, which at least leads us to believe that the idea is not entirely new to Larian Studios...
